My Own Private Fashion Show

April 13th, 2008

After sitting on the couch all morning, I must have fell asleep.  It was a lot quieter in the house than normal when I woke up - the wife must have taken the kids out.  I woke up and did dishes in anticipation for my family to get home.

As it turns out, they all came home from a shopping trip.  I don’t know how she does it, but she can manage with three kids on her own while out at the mall, whereas I struggle with one.  When she came home, I put them to bed for their afternoon nap, and then she wanted to show me what she bought.

Usually, I am not interested, but I was in a good mood (thanks to my nap) and I thought that I would humor her.  Turns out it was a good idea as she gave me my own private fashion show.

She showed me the sexy lingerie and bras that she bought at the store.  I didn’t even ask about the money she spent - the show alone was worth it.

Watching Travelers on Televison

April 13th, 2008

Yes, it is Sunday morning, and I am watching television already.  I have been feeling a bit under the weather, so I thought that I could lay down on the couch, watch some television and take a break.  I am hoping to shake the cold that I have before I need to go back to work tomorrow.

I found myself watching the travel channel and it was pretty interesting.  It was about a couple of fellows that go around the world to kayak on any white water that they can find.  It struck a cord with me as it has been years since I have done any kayaking and I miss it.

It was amazing to see them in Australia running the rapids and it made me feel like I should get off of the couch and take my kayak out and do it myself.  According to them talking on the program, they were sponsored by an adventure travel portal online.

I got off of the couch and took a look at the site - it will be the tool I use to plan my next vacation.

Becoming an Informed Shopper

April 12th, 2008

I like to make sure I know what I am doing before I do it - this has not only saved me from getting ripped off, but also from ridicule.  There is nothing worse than paying too much for something or ending up buying junk.

So, when I decided that I was going to buy a used motorcycle, I wanted to do my research even before I started looking.  For starters, I had no idea what to look for, and I didn’t have any concept of what the value of a used motorcycle really was.

But, I was able to find a website about learning how to be a motorcycle trader and I was able to learn how the whole process worked out.  Not only was I able to learn what to expect and what I should be looking for, but they also had tips that the pros use when looking at a used bike.

Armed with the knowledge I have found, I think that my buying experience will go a lot smoother, which is just the way I like it.
