A Worthwhile Education
I have always wanted my kids to know about investing. I think that this is something that we receive way too little education on, and I wanted my kids educated from a very young age. In fact, I wanted to write a children’s curriculum about money and investing, with kids learning from the time that they were five years old.
I run my own stock picks service and I was wondering if I wrote a really good curriculum, how hard it would be to get the class into the local schools. I started with a curriculum for five to seven year olds and started teaching my son. I learned that the lessons were right on his level and I took my presentation to the local school board.
I was shut down quote quickly, but I did not give up. I continued to make lessons for older children, until I had a complete curriculum for kindergarten through twelfth grade. I went again to the local school board and was again shot down. That is when I decided to launch my own classes on the subject. We have been going for four months now and we currently have 27 students.
