Handmade Halloween Costumes

It is important to me that my children always feel special and unique. Because of this, I have always, from the time my oldest son was ten month old, made them their Halloween costumes. That first one, I took a large teddy bear and cut of his head. I then removed the stuffing and put a zipper in the back of it. I cut out the face and placed a snap under the chin.

The costume was a hit and I was told more than once that I should start a business making kids Halloween costumes. I did not want to do this, as making the costume was something I had done for my son because I loved him.

The funniest part of that first costume that I ever made was that one man thought my son was dressed as Chewbacca. We had a good laugh over that. As my son is now five and we have two more children, I have made numerous other costumes and the kids always look so cute.
