Deciding What to be When I Grow Up
When I was in college, studying commerce, I had to decide what path my career was going to take. I decided to talk to a group of chartered accountants and see what they had to say about their careers. I had always thought of being an accountant and I wanted to talk to some people about it, as this was a choice that was going to affect the rest of my life.
Ever since I had started working, I had been doing my own income tax. I loved this time of year and I looked forward to it. I knew that it was quite odd to look forward to crunching numbers and figuring all that kind of stuff out, so that is when I decided that maybe I should look in this direction for my future career.
It was especially a lot of fun when doing my income taxes meant that I was going to get a tax return. I usually did, being a student. I don’t really think that is why I liked doing my taxes so much. I just really love working with numbers and it is something that I am really good at.
