A Higher Calling
When I was in high school, I took a short term missions trip to South Africa one summer. The experience was absolutely incredible and it is one that I know I will never forget. The people there had such and impact one me and I know that I became a much more compassionate and much less selfish person that summer.
The experience had such an impact on me that I am now looking for property in South Africa. I feel that this is where God is calling me to be and I cannot ignore this voice telling me that this is where I need to be. I figure that I will buy a house and settle in and see where God leads me from there. I know that I already feel led to reach out to these people in his holy name.
Until this all came about, I never realized what people meant when they said that they had a higher calling that led them to be where they were. But, that is exactly what happened to me and I choose to be obedient. I will miss my life and my family and friends here, but I am sure that, before too long, South Africa will feel like home to me.
