Celebrate with a Majorcan Holiday

There is almost certainly to be a Majorcan holiday being celebrated when you visit the beautiful Spanish island of Majorca. The islanders celebrate many events and holidays throughout the year. Majorcan holidays are enjoyed by the islanders and they are certain to see that you enjoy the celebrations and feasts with them. With a backdrop of wonderful weather and beautiful beaches, you should perhaps put a Majorcan holiday vacation at the top of your list. In February there is the Carnival Parades, these actually extend into March and end before Lent. There will be many wonderful dress balls during this time. Palma, the capitol holds the most spectacular fiesta of all during this period of time. It is known as the Cavalcade. If you want to truly experience a Majorcan holiday at its finest, then this may be the time to come. Festa Sant Jordi is celebrated on April 23rd and is a time of grand feasting at its best; it celebrates and honors the patron saint of many of the island’s towns. August 15th is the holiday of Assumption of the Virgin and while it is a Majorcan holiday, it is also celebrated throughout Spain. This major festival is a time to gain a better understanding of the people and their culture. Saint Augustine is a festival held on August 28thand includes horse-riding, wonderful food and a great deal of dancing. As you can see any time is a fine time to come and enjoy a Majorcan holiday.
